Berry Surveying Associates has been serving the Eastern Panhandle of W.V. for over 30 years. We have completed many subdivisions, commercial site plans, and individual resurveys. I am Don Berry, the owner of Berry Surveying Associates. I have been surveying with various companies since 1975, in Maryland, Virginia, Missouri and West Virginia. I was licensed in WV in 1980, and started Berry Surveying Associates.
I personally do most of the work with my employees. I do the courthouse research, and work with the field crews on site, rather than directing the work of others from an office, as large companies do. This means that a licensed Professional Surveyor is actually on your project site, making decisions, and applying more than 30 years of experience to your project.
This is a direct, personal, hands-on approach that none of the large companies can provide.

Services
We have years of experience in construction and utility layout, subdivision work and commercial site plans.
But the most important and difficult job of the land surveyor is boundary retracement.
Boundary retracement requires much more than the measurements of lines.
A retracement survey should follow in the foot steps of the original survey, even if it was flawed or inaccurate.
The fist step is research of the tract deeds back through time, looking for clerical errors and omissions in the description, perhaps finding an original Plat or record, at least back to the point where the tract was separated from a larger tract.
