Mr. Wenthold has over 40 years of experience as a land surveyor, supervisor and as an administrator.
He is responsible for scheduling of projects, project review, coordination with consultants and government agencies, quality control, preparation of contract documents and project documentation.
Mr. Wenthold was selected as the Polk County, Minnesota Land Surveyor by his peers in 1982 and served with distinction until him and his family moved to the east coast in 1984.
Shortly after arriving In Maryland, Mr. Wenthold was hired by Kidde Consultants where he worked for 7 years working his way up from a surveying computer to survey manager to Vice President of the Rockville Office.
The 1973 Flood Disaster Protection Act makes it mandatory that properties situated inside 'Special Flood Hazard Areas' (SFHA) must have flood insurance or else the owners will not be eligible for any kind of indirect or direct federal financial assistance.
Moreover, FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) uses the flood elevation certificate as a potent tool to certify building elevations of structures located inside a special flood hazard area.
The elevation certificates also helps rate post-FIRM structures and buildings.
GPS(Global Positioning Services) has become a standard surveying technique in most surveying practices.
This can be attributed to both ease of use and reduction in equipment costs.
Using GPS provides several advantages over traditional surveying methods.
Advantages include: three dimension mapping, weather independence, day or night operation, rapid data procession and quality control checks, very high precision, cost effectiveness, fewer personnel needed, eliminates need for pre-established survey control.
A Legal Description is defined as "A written statement acknowledged by law as to the definite location of a tract of land by reference to a recorded map, survey, or adjoining property."
Together, the legal description and land survey merge to create the legal framework foundation of the property being purchased.
