Schmidt Land Surveying, Inc. is a Summit County based company that provides full service professional surveying services to a wide range of clients throughout Summit County. Whether providing professional consulting to individuals or performing daily field crew operations as a sub-contractor on larger construction projects, we can accommodate the demands and needs of engineering, construction, architectural and land development firms as well as the residential landowner.

We pride ourselves on quality and professionalism from our staff. Schmidt Land Surveying was founded in 2006 by Liz Schmidt who has over thirty years of surveying experience working with various surveying companies in Summit and Eagle Counties. Liz graduated in 1989 with a degree in Forest Management Science from Colorado State University. She moved to Summit County in 1990 and began her career as a surveyor.

A dedicated and highly motivated professional with more than 30 years of surveying experience, Elizabeth has a focus on growing and moving forward in the land surveying profession.
She demonstrates outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills resulting in effective working relationships.
Elizabeth is based in Silverthorne, Colorado, and has spent her career providing land surveying services in the alpine environment of Colorado's Rocky Mountains.
Tom grew up in the Minneapolis area before attending Colorado State University in Fort Collins for Civil Engineering.
An "ILC" or Improvement Location Certificate is typically used by mortgage and/or title companies and ordered by a real estate agent during a residential real estate transaction.
This Certificate shows the recorded boundary information and the existing improvements e.g.
The Land Survey Plat or "boundary" survey requires all property corner monuments to be found or set.
Recorded Plats and deeds are used along with precise field measurements taken of existing monuments and field evidence in order to determine the location of the property corners.
Schmidt Land Surveying was on call for construction staking at the Breckenridge S. Park Avenue roundabout for new infrastructure, concrete, asphalt and the art plaza.
