What do you do if you are building a house and want to determine where your property line ends?
How do you determine where legal boundary lines lie when your neighbor wants to put up a fence?
A type of land surveying called boundary surveying uses special equipment to analyze natural and man-made features of any land site.
Land surveyors then use their data and information collected to create plans, maps and navigation of that site.
In addition, the information gathered by land surveyors can help determine placement of utility lines, drainage pipes, or highways.
Before constructing improvements such as fences, driveways, buildings, etc., near a property line.
The land surveyor should be able to give you an estimate of the total cost to expect, and a schedule of rates and charges for office work, field work, travel time, etc.
A professional land survey will likely be the least expensive part of the total land or project cost, and a competent land survey will cost less in time and money than legal fees, or moving or relocating buildings or other improvements.
Land surveys are a crucial part of any commercial property development.
Land surveys are important to obtain accurate measurements and layouts when designing any type of commercial construction project.
Our commercial development surveyors can help to determine these things with precision and exactness during construction surveying.
Most commercial development projects are very involved projects that require experienced engineers and land surveyors to determine the land depth, slope, elevation or placement of utilities or drainage pipe for building purposes.
The most common type of land surveying is boundary surveying.
A boundary survey can be helpful for anyone who is building a new house, adding an addition to an existing house, or trying to determine property lines.
A neighbor may be putting up a new fence and you are wondering if it is in the right place.
You may want to build a garage next to your house and you need to determine where your land ends and your neighbor's begins.
Boundary surveying your land ahead of time will cut later costs and problems like moving improvements and legal actions.
