Owned and operated by Mike and Kristen Weaver, Weaver Surveying provides a variety of land surveying services to Hays and surrounding counties. Mike, RPLS #4427, has been a licensed surveyor since 1986. His early experience focused on boundary surveying where he gained extensive knowledge working with a distinguished line of surveyors.
He then worked in the oil and gas industry where he directed the work of surveying contract companies, preparing surveying specifications and overseeing quality control as well as data management.Mike is a native Texan, born and raised in historic Anahuac, Texas. He is a descendant of Andrew Weaver who was listed as a resident of Liberty County on the 1831 census, five years prior to the Texas Revolution.
Being a sixth generation Texan instills a bond to Texas and its land. After raising their two sons in The Woodlands, Texas, Mike and Kristen pursued their dream of living and working in the Texas Hill Country. Their dedication to serving their Hill Country community equals the passion Mike has for land surveying.

Services
To acquire a survey license in the State of Texas, one must pass the state examination that tests for excellence in mathematics, land boundary law and a thorough understanding of the rules of the Texas Board of Professional Land Surveying.
To be eligible to take the exam, an applicant must have a Bachelor's Degree with at least 32 hours in surveying-related classes and be in the Surveyor-in-Training program with at least two years' experience working in a position of responsible charge.
In practice, the surveyor must have knowledge of title searches, various ever-changing technologies, such as CAD, GPS, Total Stations and data collectors, and drafting methods to bring it all together to produce a completed survey.
