Property corners will be found or set and drawings will be provided.
Plot plans are surveys to take to the city when you need a building permit.
This will show your proposed house with the lot dimensions, easements, and setbacks (if any).
Elevation certificates are surveys that are usually required by a lender or an insurance company.
Boundary surveys are in depth reviews of the adjoining deeds, original government surveys, highway surveys, highway plans, etc., that still determines the property lines.

How can I preserve the location of my property corners after the surveyor has left?
After the surveyor leaves try marking your property corner with a t-post.
A t-post will preserve the corner for a much longer time than a wooden stake that the surveyor sets.

If applicable, an 18 long rebar is set flush with the ground.
The rebar is usually 1/2 in diameter and has a plastic cap with the surveyor license number.
