Services
Westshore, a privately owned small business, began providing professional services to the West Michigan area in 1982.
Over the years, the variety of services offered and the area in which we operate have expanded.
Today our multidisciplinary staff of qualified and experienced professionals possess a wide range of technical capabilities, providing our clients with an array of environmental, surveying, geoscience, and engineering consulting services.
Staff members include civil engineers, surveyors, environmental scientists, geologists, geophysicists, graphic designers, GIS and computer specialists, office support personnel, and field and laboratory technicians; all of whom work side by side to provide comprehensive project solutions that are responsive to a wide variety of client needs, schedules, and budgets.
Mr. Hinks is a Certified Professional Geologist with specialties in hydrogeology, oil and gas exploration, geophysics, computer modeling, and data evaluation.
His projects include hydrogeological and hydrochemical investigations, remedial investigations and feasibility studies, computer simulation studies, statistical data evaluation, environmental and exploration geophysical surveys, soil and groundwater remediation, and negotiation with regulatory agencies.
Alan received his undergraduate education in Geology at Kent State University and completed a Master of Science degree in Hydrogeology at the University of Houston, with additional graduate work in Geology and Geophysics at the University of Colorado.
